{"id":925,"date":"2023-07-27T03:59:54","date_gmt":"2023-07-27T03:59:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cake.appscodestudio.com\/?p=925"},"modified":"2023-07-27T03:59:54","modified_gmt":"2023-07-27T03:59:54","slug":"chana-pulao-recipes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cake.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/07\/27\/chana-pulao-recipes\/","title":{"rendered":"Chana Pulao recipes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4-5 tbsp oil or ghee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 medium onion, sliced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tbsp cumin seeds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tbsp salt, or to taste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 whole cloves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 whole black cardamoms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 medium stick cinnamon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2-3 whole green chilies, optional<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.5 to 2 tins chickpeas (about 375 to 500g drained weight)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 cups basmati rice, washed soaked for 30 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In a deep pot, heat the oil and add the sliced onions. Fry till the onions become golden &#8211; about 10 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add all the spices, salt and green chillies if using. Fry these for a few more minutes, untl the onions become a dark gold<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the rice, chickpeas and 3 cups of water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cook the rice and chickpeas on high heat, gently stirring once or twice (but not breaking any rice!) until most of the water has dried out<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the water has dried out, secure a tight fitting lid onto the pot and turn the heat down to the lowest setting, to steam for 10-15 minutes.
