The isoelectric point, the pH value at which the protein&nbsp;molecule&nbsp;does not migrate, is in the range of pH 5 to 7 for many proteins. Proteins such as&nbsp;lysozyme,&nbsp;cytochrome&nbsp;<em>c<\/em>,&nbsp;histone, and others rich in&nbsp;lysine&nbsp;and arginine, however, have isoelectric points in the pH range between 8 and 10.
