{"id":155,"date":"2023-06-01T14:14:23","date_gmt":"2023-06-01T14:14:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cake.appscodestudio.com\/?p=155"},"modified":"2023-09-21T04:09:23","modified_gmt":"2023-09-21T04:09:23","slug":"pineapple-upside-down-cake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cake.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/06\/01\/pineapple-upside-down-cake\/","title":{"rendered":"Pineapple upside-down cake"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For the topping<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>50g softened&nbsp;butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>50g&nbsp;light soft brown sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>7&nbsp;pineapple rings in syrup,&nbsp;drained and syrup reserved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>7&nbsp;glac\u00e9 cherries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For the cake<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>100g softened&nbsp;butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100g&nbsp;golden caster sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100g&nbsp;self-raising flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp&nbsp;baking powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp&nbsp;vanilla extract<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2&nbsp;eggs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>STEP 1<\/strong>Heat oven to 180C\/160C fan\/gas 4.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>STEP 2<\/strong>For the topping, beat 50g softened butter and 50g light soft brown sugar together until creamy. Spread over the base and a quarter of the way up the sides of a 20cm round cake tin. Arrange 7 pineapple rings on top (reserving the syrup for later), then place 7 glac\u00e9 cherries in the centres of the rings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>STEP 3<\/strong>Place 100g softened butter, 100g golden caster sugar, 100g self-raising flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp vanilla extract and 2 eggs in a bowl along with 2 tbsp of the reserved pineapple syrup. Using an electric whisk, beat to a soft consistency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>STEP 4<\/strong>Spoon into the tin on top of the pineapple and smooth it out so it\u2019s level. Bake for 35 mins. Leave to stand for 5 mins, then turn out onto a plate.
