Traditional Greek Coffee

  • Ingredients:
    • 1 tablespoon finely ground Greek coffee (e.g., Loumidis)
    • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional, adjust based on taste)
    • 60 ml cold water
  • Instructions:
    • In a briki (traditional small coffee pot), mix the coffee, sugar, and cold water. Stir to dissolve the coffee and sugar.
    • Place the briki over low heat. Stir occasionally until foam begins to form. Once it starts bubbling, remove from heat.
    • Let it settle for a moment, then return it to the heat and repeat the process 2-3 times.
    • Pour the coffee into small cups, allowing the grounds to settle.
