Turkish Coffee with Almond Extract

A sweet, aromatic coffee that brings a nutty flavor to Turkish coffee.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon finely ground Turkish coffee
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • Water
  • Sugar (optional)

Steps:

  1. Add Coffee and Water: Place the Turkish coffee and cold water in the cezve.
  2. Add Almond Extract: Stir in the almond extract and sugar if desired.
  3. Heat Slowly: Stir to combine and heat over low heat.
  4. Foam and Brew: Let the coffee foam, remove from heat, and return 2-3 times to create a thick foam.
  5. Serve: Pour into cups, dividing the foam, and let the grounds settle.
