Turmeric Latte

Ingredients:

  • 1 shot of espresso or ½ cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup milk (or any plant-based milk like oat or almond milk)
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of black pepper (enhances the absorption of turmeric)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

Method:

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in the turmeric, cinnamon, and black pepper until fully combined.
  3. Once the milk is hot (but not boiling), remove it from the heat and froth it using a milk frother or whisk.
  4. Brew your espresso or strong coffee and pour it into a mug.
  5. Pour the spiced milk over the coffee and stir well.
  6. Sweeten with honey or maple syrup to taste.
  7. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
