Classic Moka Pot Coffee

Ingredients:

  • Moka Pot (3- or 6-cup size)
  • 1/2 cup coarsely ground coffee (medium grind)
  • Water (up to the safety valve)

Steps:

  1. Add Water: Fill the bottom chamber of the Moka Pot with water up to the safety valve.
  2. Add Coffee: Place the coffee filter in the Moka Pot, then fill it with coarsely ground coffee. Level the grounds, but don’t tamp.
  3. Assemble & Brew: Put the top chamber on and screw it on tightly. Heat the Moka Pot over medium heat.
  4. Listen for the Hiss: When you hear a hissing sound, it means the coffee is done. Turn off the heat immediately.
  5. Serve: Pour into your cup and enjoy your rich, bold coffee!
