Ingredients:
- 1 shot of espresso
- 6 oz steamed milk
- 2 tbsp caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzle)
- 1/4 tsp sea salt (fleur de sel or Maldon is best)
- Whipped cream (optional)
Steps:
- Brew the Espresso: Brew a single shot of espresso.
- Steam the Milk: Steam 6 oz of milk until smooth and creamy.
- Make the Caramel Sauce: If you don’t have store-bought caramel, melt 2 tbsp of sugar in a saucepan until golden, then carefully add 1 tbsp of butter and 2 tbsp of cream. Stir until smooth, then let cool slightly.
- Combine: In a mug, mix the brewed espresso with 2 tbsp of caramel sauce and a pinch of sea salt. Stir to combine.
- Pour Milk: Add the steamed milk to the caramel-espresso mixture.
- Top (Optional): Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of extra caramel sauce. Garnish with a pinch of sea salt.
